Confidentiality & HIPAA
By law, we are required to protect the privacy of all communication between patient and a provider. We cannot disclose information about you without written permission except for situations where you are a danger to yourself or others or if we suspect child abuse.
24 Hour Cancellation Policy
Regular attendance and follow-up care are important to ensure the best treatment outcomes. Please contact us right away if you need to cancel an appointment. Any cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment time will be charged the full cost of the session you reserved. This fee is not reimbursed by insurance companies.
Scope of Practice
As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, or PMHNP, I’m a licensed advanced practice registered nurse with advanced training to diagnose and prescribe medications for patients of all ages who have psychiatric disorders. PMHNPs are specialized providers with a focus on psychiatry.
PMHNPs can practice autonomously in 26 states. In Georgia, however, PMHNPs must have a collaborative agreement with a physician supervisor. Per Georgia’s requirements, Mrs. Lewis has a collaborative agreement with Dr. Jonathan Snipes, MD.
